Vocab:
1. Gravitas-
high seriousness
2. bivouac-
a camp for night with little shelter
3.lucre-
monetary gain-usually in a bad sense
I am number four
Pittacus Lore
p.286-p.440(end)
1 hr.
Rating:8.5/10.0
The book continues on with consistent quality, with a somewhat confusing and packed ending. Events unfold with the authors causal style of amplifying excitement. Things are tense in the ending, but it seems a little too much happens in the last few pages. I wouldn't have minded even a five-hundred page book if the ending wasn't so rushed and confusing. the author seems to share this ending flaw with D.J MacHale, the author of the Pendragon and Morpheus road series.
The author did do a good job of creating a tense and suspenseful atmosphere near the end, and the ending is definitely action-packed. To put it simply, the ending delivers, it just delivers too quickly. This was a very good start to the series, and I'm excited to see where the rest of the series leads.
